So....as much as I hate to admit it, we (the Dallas Cowboys) have sealed our fate for the 2008 season in an embarassing display against the Eagles. I am still trying to figure out what went wrong.
I mean, of course the bulk of the blame has to lie with QB, Tony Romo. What's up with this guy? He turned to ball over more times in this one game than he probably has all year. He was clearly NOT mentally involved in this game. His decisions were pathetic to say the least.
Secondly, seems to me that if we had to loose to someone, why did it have to be the Eagles. Hell for that matter, we shouldn't have lost to the Ravens either. We're not a loosing team. We are contenders. However, none of the Cowboys showed up. Where was DeMarcus Ware, Jason Whitten, Clayton, Williams, T.O....? These guys just seemed to admit defeat before kick off.
What's next? Well if I had to advise Jerry Jones on what he should do next I'd have to say put some fire under that team and make 'em feel it. If a player has not prooven that they are worthy of the millions we're paying them, make em proove it. Adam "Pac Man Jones" -- why in the hell hasn't this guy been benched yet! He's done nothing throughout the season and he continued to do nothing in the last two games. I see no reason to continue favorably with this fella. I personally think he is a jinx. Since we took him on, we have been loosing our chemistry and it's almost inexistent now. I mean we already have to deal with T.O.'s constant whining and dramatic episodes, now we have to deal with this fella too. BENCH 'EM.
T.O., in all his "give me the damn ball" pleas, couldn't catch one pass last night. Well, he did catch one, but by that time no one on offense or defense believed we could win the game so it was a mute point.
Playing Marion Barber in the Giants game was a costly mistake, Mr. Wade Phillips. He never recuperated fully which is why he was ineffective for us last night. We wasted him in the Giants game, which prevented him from being 100% in the Ravens and the Eagles games. Bad decision on the part of Coach Phillips.
I don't want to see Wade leave the team, but I would like to see him grow some guts. He's the head coach, and he is allowing players to lead the team. That has to stop! He has to command control of the team. He can do it, but will he? Jerry says he's safe and will return, but I guarantee he'll have to make a stop in the Owner's Office before it's all over and done.
Now, this sorrow filled Cowboy fan must find secondary team to offer support to since the #1 team in the league didn't agree to being #1 this year. So, since the Jets (and Favre) are out, it won't be them. The Saints are out, which I might have considered supporting. I can't show any love to the Giants and/or the Eagles. So, looks like I may have to follow the Colts and/or the Vikings.
Geesh! Another disappointing season with the boys! WHEN WILL WE GET IT TOGETHER????
Here's looking forward to a new year for the team-- (clink, clink)!!! Surely we have to do better next year....how can we do any worse than loosing to Donovan McNabb's team by 40 points. We've reached the bottom; no where to go but up!
