Synaptic Rhapsody

The song, "Kick the Can", is about playing a game of kick the can in the front yard at night. Sounds trivial. It is trivial, intense, brutal, competitive, dangerous. Simultaneously liberating, exciting, funny, exhausting. Can't really see where you're sprinting in the dark. Sharp peal of some laughter.

I would print lyrics, but ning (this software) won't play the song and show this post at the same time. I grew up reading album covers while listening with headphones, so it's gotta be right, otherwise, no lyrics. Who would read lyrics without the music anyway?

The next song, "Fortess of Love" is a love song to all our pets. Candy, a retired racing greyhound, sleeps all day but runs away at every opportunity. Gwenny is a pretty and pitifully dumb fullbreed basset hound. Holly and Samantha are bunnies we acquired one Easter. Our cats, DD the black and LostMale came from the Animal Rescue League. I wish you could know them all.

Again this mudane shit. Who cares about somebody elses pets? lol

I hope their short vignettes will be compelling on their own, and who knows, the hasty listener may even think I'm singing about girls.
