About Me:: Activist, yogini, zookeeper, feminist, jewelry nest-maker, puddle-stomper, geek, blogger, and designer.

I tend to wear my punk on the inside, or else channel my anger into arguing with my elected officials. I also maintain prochoicemississippi.org. I'm currently serving as the Platform Committee chair for Hinds County Young Democrats.

I'm a teacher and student at Butterfly Yoga, the local Anusara yoga studio. I teach a class called "Buddha Body, Yoga Mind," geared towards a plus-sized or props-intensive practice.

I also make jewelry featuring wee tiny wirework sculptures of bird nests. They sometimes make me cross-eyed, but they make so many people happy.

Lately, I'm enjoying watching actual crops sprout and thrive in my square-foot garden. I am saving seeds from tomatoes I have eaten and loved. I don't know their varietals, but instead of Googling for hours, I name them things like Sneaky Stoplight and Rhumba Panties, because it's more fun that way.

I live on a willfully unruly patch of land with my husband, two dogs, four cats, and an infestation of bunnies.
