- The International Microphone Controllers Association, IMCA, was conceived in 1997 by a young MC from Mississippi named Slyc Biskut. The idea was to give individual MCs a platform to compete in a structed, sport-like environment, and give them the benefits of being part of a member association. Today, The International Microphone Controllers Association, LLC is an association of entertainment professionals from many genres and has grown to include services such as market consultation, product development and fulfillment, artist management, music production, graphic design, and telecommunications.
