New Exhibition at Sanaa Gallery opening 10/30/2008

Greetings, everyone!

Mark your calendar for one of the most exciting shows to ever hit the Jackson area. Come and experience an eclectic display of cutting-edge art in our New Traditions exhibit. This show will put a well deserved spotlight on two very accomplished Jackson artists:

* Professor Johnnie Mae Gilbert, Chair of the Tougaloo Art Department is most renowned for her visual contribution to the national "Slavery In America" educational project. However, her newest mixed media abstract work represents a bold and exciting new artistic direction and it will be on exhibit at our gallery.


* 2007 Ford Fellow Gwendolyn Magee has exhibited her quilts in Namibia (Africa), the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institute and the Mississippi Museum of Art, and now her beautiful masterworks will grace our gallery.
