I find Janine's 8/27 comment interesting from a historical POV because later she would go on to create a huge and very successful open mic event. :o) Next one will be at Sneaky Beans in April. Stay tuned!

Did you all know about the short story contest currently being held by the Arts Council of Clinton? The deadline to submit stories is February 2, and winners will be announced on April 4. Details are at www.artscouncilofclinton.org.

To answer Susan and Shaun, I would love to organize a low-key writer's circle to meet (maybe the first and last Thursdays of each month?) at Cups in Fondren.
