What do y'all like to do for your cross-training? I have a lot of friends who bike, and I've recently started going to spin class...I haven't yet bitten the bullet and bought a real bike yet, but I may eventually.

I do strength training for my abs, arms and legs. I use light weights and my own body weight. Squats and lunges only if I am taking a day off from running or have an easy day the following day.

Also, the stationary bike is great! I have noticed a lot less IT Band pain since I began riding the stationary bike 30 - 50 miles a week.
I just started working out at Velocity Performance Sports in Ridgeland. It's almost like having a personal trainer for every session. I'm quite sore, so I can tell it is making a difference. My goal is to strengthen my core in order to improve my running posture. We've been doing a lot of lunges and abwork. I'm taking two weeks off running after the Blues half and will start back on MLK Day.
