Folks have been finding out that Apple implemented HCDP copy protection in its latest round of lickable MacBook updates...the new DisplayPort actually recognizes when content is encoded with HCDP copy protection and it won't allow you to play it back unless you're connected to an HCDP compliant display. The point is to keep you from copying (recordable DVD, VCR, etc.) a movie that you've rented or are watching via a service such as Hulu. The problem is, that means even if you're legit, if you're trying to watch the movie on a DisplayPort-to-Video or DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter, it won't let you. Ouch.
