try this with one and see if it works. they might just be too old.

soak the bean for a few hours. take you a paper towel wet it too. place the bean inside. stick it in a ziploc bag to lock in some warmth and put under a lamp. check on it in about 2-3 to see if anything is happening.

Hey everyone. I have some tomatoes that came up about a month ago, but they still haven't ripened. I think that they are called better boys (and they're supposed to ripen red). They're still green. Does anyone know what to do? Should I go ahead and pick them?

I've been through a gardening phase when I lived in Colorado. Learned a lot, and grew a lot of herbs. I *love* to go out and just snip fresh herbs for cooking. But I want something colorful in the front box, I think, or a rotation of things. I never gardened when I grew up in Mississippi (hated it then; meant howing my daddy's many rows; argh), and then what I learned was in Colorado. So I'm a newbie here.

Right now, the box has those big elephant ears in it, which are funky. But I've been digging them up because I read that they are poisonous to cats, and my three demon-boys will eat anything. Anybody want the bulbs?

I'll go survey the sun situation this weekend and report back. 'Preciate the help.
